I blinked and found myself in the throngs of summer. Time to catch up on happenings between work, graduation parties, birthdays, family gatherings and escaping from the heatwaves enveloping the Northeast. The 99 degrees in the shade didn't keep the Cameron County community from joining in the festivities of the Summer Solstice Evening and raising over $5,000 for the local first responders, and other local non-profit organizations. Set on Ron Andrews' breathtaking farm, folks strolled through the greenery enjoying camaraderie, music, local food and drinks while participating in raffles to raise money for Cameron County Ambulance, Cameron County Outdoor Youth Activities (CCOYA), and the Sylvan Heritage Council Scholarship Fund. Though the heat was immense the love was even greater. Thanks again to our sponsor, Seneca Resources Company who helped us make this all happen.
